OracleScan field guide

When thin liquidity becomes actionable

A low depth-to-open-interest ratio can be normal for a small market or a fresh deterioration. The distinction matters more than a generic critical label.

Evidence checklist

  • Compare the market with its own recent depth and spread baseline.
  • Prioritize falling depth, widening spreads, and growing open interest when they occur together.
  • Estimate execution at the order size you may actually need, including an exit under reduced liquidity.
  • Keep persistent structural thinness visible but quieter than a new market-relative break.

OracleScan reports observed conditions and explicit coverage gaps. It does not certify markets as safe or predict that a loss will occur.
